I really like my research topic because it affects me personally everyday. My topic is very specific, parking on the University of Memphis campus. It took me quite a while to find some good research on it. I also researched what some other commuter schools do about parking on there campus's. I also want to see what the U of M has for the future and they can improve upon. I would also like to see the staff and faculty's opinion on the topic. Because when most people write about school it is from the students point of view and makes the teachers out to be evil. I want this paper to be as unbiased as possible so I need to see it from all points of views.

Martin Luther King Jr.'s "Letter From a Birmingham Jail" is a very inspiring piece of American literature. This letter's purpose is to inspire white and black people to realize how unjust many of the segregation laws are. The way King can paint images for people with his words as well as he does is just amazing. When he talks about the little girl whose dreams have been have been covered up by dark clouds almost brought me to tears with its vividness. King is one of the most influential people in American History and it's pretty easy to see why. His works just get people riled up and want to make a stand.

Parking Problems
The University of Memphis parking is out of control, this year more then ever before. Memphis is primarily a commuter school so parking has always been somewhat of an issue, but this year is ridiculous. In order to find a parking spot in a reasonable amount of time you need to take either 8 a.m. classes or afternoon classes otherwise you will be searching for upwards of 30 minutes. I have been late to several classes because of this and I know several others who have too. The first week of classes the lots were crowded but it did not take me more then 5 minutes or so to find a spot. All of my friends kept talking about how they looked for a spot for 25 minutes and I did not believe them until it happened to me twice in two days. I was livid not only am I wasting money on classes I cannot attend but also money on gas. The side streets surrounding the campus provide extra spots but it does not help when everyone is double parking.

Hi my name is Ponyboy and go to the University of Memphis. My only passion in life is fishing, I love to fish no matter where or when. I guess I love it so much bc you only control a sliver of what you are doing. I am member of a fraternity and a not so active member of a catholic church. I know you might be thinking what a wide array of different interests but I love it. I am very much my own person. Being a part of all of these communities is actually pretty easy. There are some members of my fraternity that are very devoted to there religious views and meet regularly to discuss it. If I really wanted to I could join them, but yet again I am my own person and I believe in what I was tought all of my life and do not feel the need to change or to try to change others. The University also provides many groups that support all different religions which is pretty cool. As a catholic, I like to have the occasional drink, which goes great with the fraternity life. My fraternity is not just a group that parties, do not get me wrong we like to party but we also like to do other things as well, such as becoming involved with other student organizations on campus and supportin them. I feel that most universities feel that way and I hate to say it but most of the time they are right. Stereotypes are not just created for no reason, there has to be proof behind there reasoning.
